Story
BLCKSTR was founded to answer the call around diversity and equality at the makeup mirror for artists of colour.
BLCKSTR developed a series of workshops supporting professional hair and makeup departments in Film, TV and Theatre. We help hair and make up artists become more familiar with, feel more confident about, and gain more practice in the work that do and that includes working with hair and skin on people of colour.
We work in collaboration with highly skilled artists and organisations to deliver workshops around the country, abroad and online. We help professional hair and makeup artists, groups and individuals; find out more at the BLCKSTR website.
