I work across High End Television (HETV) and feature film in the UK and internationally, with experience spanning every grade within the hair and makeup department;  from entry through to Hair & Makeup Designer. This progression gives me a comprehensive understanding of how departments are structured and run under pressure.

My work includes key hair for principal cast, large-scale wig coordination and crowd supervision, and the design and execution of character-led hair design for screen on major productions.

• Hair & Makeup Coordinator on Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (Netflix), overseeing the movement and management of extensive wig teams.

Working closely with actors and production teams at high levels and working on all skin tones and hair types has informed the development of the BLCKSTR training workshops, which exists to support hair and makeup artists and bridge specific skill gaps including confident work on textured hair and deep skin tones in high-pressure screen environments.
